Peter Witzel is the founder of WZ® International Ltd. His interest in global trade and international marketing began while he was growing up in Hamburg, Germany, the European capital of import and export. After his engineering education he was one of many applicants to be selected to serve a leading US oil corporation. Peter developed rapidly within the petrochemical industry and was promoted to a senior executive role as Superintendent.

He lived and worked many years in Texas, USA, before he was made responsible for operations in South America. He moved to Brazil and later established WZ® International Ltd. Since 1979 the company grew rapidly and he extended WZ®'s global office network. During the past 16 years he exported more than 2 million m3 (860 million bord ft.) wood products to Europe and the US, and successfully facilitated various business transactions at a total value of more than 800 million US$ for customers all over the world.

Further to learning and mastering 4 languages, gaining extensive insight into various business cultures and learning about the "real world" of global business practice, he actually entered the manufacturing business in 1999. Peter is one of the main shareholders of Florevale in Brazil. This company owns 790 sq./kilometers (or 494 sq./miles) of certified forestry / woodland, and is now extending its own wood manufacturing facilities.
