MAXIBLOCK®
is constructed from Softwood or Hardwood strips which are usually 1" - 1-3/16"
(25 30 mm) wide. These are joined together to form a Slab / Core by continuous edge
gluing. This core then usually has two veneers glued to each side, one with the grain
running at right angles to the core and the other with the grain parallel to the core,
this being the face veneer. This is known as 5-ply long grained Blockboard and is the most
popular type. When only the first veneer is glued to each side of the slab a 3-ply cross
grained Blockboard is formed.
MAXIBLOCK® is manufactured
in Germany and in Brazil, using the most modern and technologically
advanced production methods.
MAXIBLOCK® is available in small and very large size. Large
panels produce much better results (jointless and smooth surface),.. are more
efficient in furniture production and will save a considerable amount of material due to
less waste. |
